Proudly South African is the “buy local” campaign launched in 2001 by government, organised business, organised labour and community organisations (the constituencies represented in the National Economic Development and Labour Council – Nedlac) to boost job creation and pride in “local” by promoting South African companies and their ‘homegrown’ products and services.
Buying South African stimulates an increased demand for locally-produced products and services. This translates into the safeguarding of existing employment opportunities, economic growth, and the creation of more quality employment opportunities in our country.

The Field Guide Association of Southern Africa is the largest guiding body in Southern Africa. Stormsriver Adventures is a corporate member of FGASA and complies with their code of conduct. All our guides have qualified with their Local Field Guide Level 1, Guides are also present an opportunity to study for further qualifications.
The Heritage Environmental Management Company was first established in 2001 as an environmental rating initiative for the hospitality industry in South Africa. Every member of the Heritage network undergoes an on-site review at least every twelve-months and is awarded one of three levels of recognition according to their performance, sustainability and responsible business practices. Stormsriver Adventures are Greenline accredited since 2012.
