Stormsriver Adventures celebrated its 5th year of operation of the world renowned Tsitsikamma Canopy Tour on the 7th of October.The staff entertained and hosted their families to a day of fun on Saturday the 7th, giving guides the opportunity to take their parents on the Canopy Tour.

The less adventurous experienced the land based Woodcutters Journey down the old pass.
The Tsitsikamma Canopy Tour, an icon attraction has, over the past five years, contributed significantly to the social responsibility programmes conducted by Stormsriver Adventures in the Tsitsikamma.
These include, a school feeding scheme, an animal welfare and education programme, the free hosting of ± 1200 community youngsters per year on various excursions, and the establishment of a catering company run by local women as an empowerment initiative, to mention a few. The Tsitsikamma Canopy Tour has also been responsible for significant new job creation and has introduced 250 guides to the eco adventure industry over the past 5 years.
A number of guides trained and qualified by Stormsriver Adventures have excelled and are working locally in the adventure industry within various companies. Some have also obtained positions overseas and are now in management positions in Dubai and other countries.

Canopy Tours South Africa has established, under licence, a further two operations namely Magaliesburg Canopy Tours and Karkloof Canopy Tours, which have directly created 100 additional jobs. “Further ventures are in the pipeline” said Wentworth.
The celebration culminated in a sit down dinner and social evening for the team.
